NVDA Workshop

Non-violent direct action has played, and continues to play, an important role in movements for social change throughout history from the civil rights movement in the US to the anti-nuclear movement here in Aotearoa. Practitioners of non-violent direct action including Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks are world-renowned both for their bravery and the change they helped catalyse. Oil Free Wellington held a very successful one-day NVDA workshop at the Sustainability Trust for those opposed to deep sea oil drilling and interest in learning about NVDA and how and why everyday citizens use NVDA to bring about change for environmental, social and climate justice.
